Heatmaps

See where visit demand and employee availability don't match, so you can plan cover for your week.

Written by Lucy Robbie

Use heatmaps in Access People Planner to compare visit demand with employee availability hour by hour. You can then spot where cover may be short before your week starts.

What the heatmaps show

Each heatmap is a grid. Each row is a day of the week, and each column is an hour from 00:00 to 23:00. Each cell is coloured to show how busy that hour is.

Open the heatmaps

Follow these steps to open the heatmaps and set the date you want to view.

  1. Click Planning, then click Visit.

  2. Click Planning, then select Heatmaps from the top menu.

📌Tip: This is under Insights; you may need to scroll to the top of the menu to see this.

  3. Use the Heatmap dropdown at the top of the screen to choose what to measure.

  4. Use the date picker to select the first day you want to view. The grid shows that day and the six days after it.
