Follow these simple steps to set up the maximum time variance:

  1. Click Settings, then click Service user.

  2. Click Service User, then click Services.

  3. Click Types, then select the relevant service type.

  4. Select the Planning Rules Checks tab.

  5. In the service requirement window, set the restrictions for maximum time variance.

  6. Click Save.

  7. Click Settings, then click Planning.

  8. Click Settings, then select the relevant setting.

  9. Click the General tab, then set the maximum time variance to enforce or warn.

When enforcement is applied, visits cannot be moved outside the defined maximum time variance; this restriction is absolute. In contrast, when warning is used, the system still permits visits to be moved beyond the maximum time variance, but they will be visually flagged by changing their colour to yellow.
