Understanding employee and service user dashboards

In this article, we explain how you can view tasks on the employee and service user dashboards.

When you log in to Access People Planner and navigate to either the HR tab or the Service User tab, a dashboard appears with a series of line charts. These visuals provide a quick overview of tasks that need attention, including items nearing their deadlines or those already overdue.

By default, the dashboard displays information relevant only to your own sign‑in, as determined by the drop‑down filters. This includes:

  • All tasks currently assigned to you, highlighting those that are overdue or approaching their due dates.

  • Any unassigned to‑do items that have not yet been allocated to a user.

If you are not assigned to any tasks, the dashboard initially appears blank. To view a broader set of tasks, change the User filter to All, and any applicable items then appear.

The specific tasks shown differ between the Service Users and HR modules. However, all listed items can also be found within individual records under QuickLinks, where you can review each task and determine whether reassignment or further action is needed.
